Hi, I'm Anna!

My name is Anna. I'm an awkward nerd with a passion for all things creative (like photography). I grew up in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina and moved to Michigan to attend Calvin University where I double-majored in Mathematics and English Literature. I'm married to my best friend, Andrew, and we now live in Lansing with our three ferrets while Andrew finishes his PhD and I pursue my MSc. In my spare time I also write for the post calvin, guest speak regularly on the Re:Redwall podcast, help lead a graduate fellowship, watch murder mystery shows, and quote Frasier.

I am a largely self-taught photographer and am continually refining and practicing my skills. I love that photography requires both technical expertise to operate the equipment and artistic vision to compose and edit photos.
